what the hell is going on?

it's crazy how awry things can go in the blink of an eye.

just a few months ago the idea of wayne rooney leaving man utd would be laughed off as rubbish . just a few days ago the idea was an unlikely possibility. now, it's an absolute certainty. for reasons i cannot fathom he has decided to ditch the club who stuck by him during his numerous scandals and a manager who has no doubt groomed him to be the world-class player that he is today. sure, man utd may not be a club of superstars but surely we have the history, the culture, the support, the cohesiveness and a top manager like no other. like sir alex rightly says, the club is in a transitional phase and while it is questionable to be investing in youth in today's footballing era, sir alex is seldom wrong in his judgements. so for rooney to want to leave just as the club is rebuilding and remodelling itself is treachery to the highest degree. i know i am not the only one who has been left dumbfounded by the man who once represented everything man utd, who was, essentially, man utd, but just like during the dark days of '05 we will pick ourselves back up and show that no one is bigger than the club.

on a sidenote the haze is getting worse. today's PSI hit a 106, which is way higher than the 80 recorded yesterday. everyone's in such a frenzy checking the NEA site (me included), so much so that the site has crashed. one can blame the indonesian government for not doing more to curb the fires but then again it has greater problems i.e itself to deal with; surely it's understandable if a few fires kill a few people in its neighbouring countries.

i swear sometime during the last 2 days a frog jumped into and latched onto my throat.

somewhere in canada the families of the 2 women raped and killed by that barbarian of a colonel must be in deep mourning. my heart goes out to them.

what the hell is going on?

you are my only constant, and my love for you grows stronger with each passing day.

closer to the edge

And then there are times when the banality of everyday life just won't cut it anymore, and we yearn for something more, for something different.

Still, we swear by routine because it's familiar, and it's all too easy to be confined by it.

But I refuse to allow myself to.

Because as I lie on my deathbed years from now and have my entire life flash before my eyes, I want to be treated to the most spectacular of scenes.

I want to take risks. To take chances. To make leaps of faith.

To live on the edge.

the powers of acupuncture

Tradtional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is trying to convince Western Medicine (WM) of the effectiveness of acupuncture.

TCM: Do you know what a porcupine is?

WM: Yeah..

TCM: Have you ever seen a porcupine?

WM: Uh-huh..

TCM: Have you ever seen a sick porcupine?

WM: No..?

TCM: My point exactly.

HAHAHA
